I’ve been doing Pharr on my own, and I am currently on Lesson 20. So far, with the help I’ve recieved in the Pharr board, everything has been going very well. Would it be redundant for me to join? I figure it would instill some discipline in me when there is a timetable to adhere to. Plus, I also signed up for the Odyssey group (I couldn’t resist). Does it sound like I’m in over my head?
I think that’s a major appeal of such a group. If you think you’ll finish Pharr in a reasonable time without the group, then it would be redundant. But the group will certainly make it harder to put things off. Also, someone will be correcting your work, so misunderstandings will get caught soon.
If you don’t review much, joining might be good. But it’s certainly possible to get through Pharr solo (I managed it after two bad starts).

Maybe, maybe not. I don’t know what other Greek you’ve done. I’d recommend trying to get through the first 15 lines of the Odyssey right now, in a week or less. If it’s torture, the answer is probably “yes.” If not, then you might be fine.
I’m not planning one. I might run a Minckwitz list again for the small Pharr-a group that remains when that group finishes and if there’s interest. But that’s several months in the future (about 5, I think).
No one has contacted me (in my designated “Groups Coordinator” robes of office) offering to run any other Homer lists.
If you are intending to join the Pharr-b group, but have not yet, you should do so quickly. It is very popular, and we have to stop accepting new people very soon (maybe two more members) or the guides will be swamped.
No, you just must be patient. We require subscription approval to control spam. You just have to wait for me to click the wee button that approves subscriptions.
