Συγγιγνώσκω or ὀμολογέω?

Χαίρετε!

In Unit 33 of Professor Mastronarde, here are the definitions of two verbs:

  1. συγγιγνώσκω (συν) agree with; acknowledge; excuse, pardon (+ dat. of
person + acc. or dat. of thing).
  2. ὁμολογέω agree with, say the same thing as (+ dat.)
    [homologous]

I was wondering which one to use if I want to type, “I agree with you.” Or maybe neither?

I looked in the “Middle Liddell” and am still uncertain.

In most circumstances ὁμολογῶ or ὁμολογοῦμαι would be suitable, or σύμφημι. συγγιγνώσκω tends to mean “forgive.”
