Newbie question, aorist passive participle

I’m having trouble figuring out declensions for the aorist passive participle based on the info supplied in Mastronarde. Listed are λuθείς, λuθεισα, λuθέν, with m/n stem λuθέντ- and dative plural λuθεισι(ν) [sorry for the missing circumflexes]. Is there a way to generate a list of declensions based on this, and/or a paradigm I should be following?

Kalos software looks great but based on its sample tables I still can’t tell whether it can list all forms given this example. (At the moment I can’t download it.) Thanks much for any help or suggestions!
Tim

From the information you have you can generate the entire declension of that type of participle. You already have the nominative and vocative singulars. The masculine and neuter use the alternate stem for all cases except the dative plural, which you have also listed. The feminine does not use the alternate stem. The endings are the same as for other participles with the -ων, -ουσα, -ον endings.

So for your word, λuθείς, λuθεισα, λuθέν, here is your declension in the order of m,f,n ( I apologize for the lack of good spacing but you should be able to figure out the pattern well enough):

Singular
N. V. λυθείς λυθεῖσα λυθέν
Gen. λυθέντος λυθείσης λυθέντος
Dat. λυθέντι λυθείσῃ λυθέντι
Acc. λυθέντα λυθεῖσαν λυθέν

Plural
N. V. λυθέντες λυθεῖσαι λυθέντα
Gen. λυθέντων λυθεισῶν λυθέντα
Dat. λυθεῖσι[ν] λυθείσαις λυθείσι[ν]
Acc. λυθέντας λυθείσας λυθέντα

Thanks so much for the table and explanation Eliot! I never realized the listed noms and alternate m/n stem and dative plural were exceptions to the same participle endings used in the present active – that untangles a vast and longstanding confusion for me and I can’t thank you enough! Best,
Tim
