New Testament Greek for Beginners Group Starting

To One And All–
This is to inform the membership that a new Greek group will be starting on August 17 at 8 p.m. GMT-5 (EST). We will be using Machen’s, New Testament Greek for Beginners’, yet we will also be using a number of internet resources for our study of Greek. PDFs of individual lessons of Machen will be available at our web site for those who do not have a text.
The format will be a group conference, using Yahoo Messenger. We will prepare lessons in advance using Unicode (preferably Arial Unicode MS), and will communicate in actual time using SPIonic, both fonts are available free of charge. If you don’t have a Greek keyboard we know of a number of free ones that are also available online (I use Tavultesoft Keyman 6.2, with a Greek Classical keyboard). A question will be pasted on the screen and each member will paste their translation or composition. Then, if there are any questions, we will address them at this time. We hope to begin with the exercises at the end of Lesson 2. We are aiming at doing a lesson a week, but this can change as we see how the group goes. The exercises in Machen are usually from English to Greek and from Greek to English. As time goes on we will probably take more time, as the material increases in difficulty.
I, Christopher Shelton, and Kat Doe will be the moderators. If anyone is interested please contact either myself or Kat at the following addresses:
