Howdy folks and thank you to Joel Eidsath for approving my request for membership. Interestingly, it was a blog by Joel that led me to apply. I was researching for a Bible Study on John 2:1-11 and was looking at the Hebraic idiom “What to me and you” or as it is in the Greek - Τί ἐμοὶ καὶ σοὶ. I really appreciate what the posters on that blog shared.
I hold the MDiv from Fuller Theological Seminary with studies in the Koine and Hebrew. I pastor a small congregation with an online following (thanks to COVID) and also teach in a second church. I prefer to work with the original languages to the degree I am capable. It is still my hope to one day go after my doctorate. I hold a MA in history on top of the MDiv and enjoy research when I can. I’ve been published in one academic journal though it has nothing to do with classical languages.
I’ve traveled a lot of the world thanks to the US military: Korea, Europe, Iraq, Qatar, and Afghanistan. Being called out of retirement to go to Iraq and Afganistan preempted the pursuit of my doctorate but I’m back to retirement again.
