Good evening,

My name is Jamie, and I wanted to say hello. I am currently in the process of scouring the rust from my Latin and Greek after a prolonged period of illness (4 years), preparatory to reading for a doctorate. I hold a Master’s degree in Late Antique and Byzantine Studies from Oxford, and am mainly concerned with Latin and Greek post-300 AD.

But I have some way to go before I am back to reading with anything like ease. Since I last studied the languages systematically, I have come across tools like LLPSI, Ad Alpes and in Greek, Alexandros To Hellenikon Paidion/Rouse. I hope that I can use these to actually improve the fluency of my reading, once I have finished revising the constructions.

Best,

Jamie
