Hello to all Textkit Latin students.
This is my first post. Learnt Latin at high school for 3 years, starting in 1939, then went off to join in the war effort. Always enjoyed the sheer logic and economy of Latin, so have now resumed studies with a cheerful volunteer tutor and a happy group of likeminded people at U3A, Adelaide , Australia.

My educational status, acquired late when my children were at school, is as follows: Diploma of Liberal Studies, majoring in Drama, followed by a BA in Communications Studies from the University of South Australia. Not really relevant, but demonstrates that I like words I guess.

My memory of Latin is patchy - have no trouble translating simple texts to English, armed with a good dictionary, then suddenly a sentence suddenly throws me : quibus telis copiae nostrae eguerunt? Probably “were a great many of our men lacking (their) spears?” perhaps? Because of our Queens Birthday holiday I have to wait 2 weeks for our next U3A session! Best wishes to the group.
