I’m looking for a website that lists ways to translate certain modern words, like train, car, internet, website et cetera into Latin or Greek. Anyone?
I don’t know about Latin, but for Greek we just tend to use the modern Greek words for modern things…

I work in the offices of a major international car factory, and my boss asked me to write a little Latin tag line under the logo on the managerial notepaper, just for the hell of it. I had only been learning Latin for about 2 weeks at this point, and so I could just about manage:
Automobilas Bonas Aedificamus
Which I believed to mean (in gramatically suspect, pidgin-Latin) roughly: “We build good cars”.
As I didn’t have a translation for the word “car”, I just assumed “Automobile” would do, as it is a sort of pseudo-latin word in itself.
But now I know that car is actually autocinetum. Superb.[/b]
train = ΑΜΑΞΟΣΤΟΙΧΙΑ
car = ΑΥΤΟΚΙΝΗΤΟΝ
internet = ΔΙΑΔΙΚΤΥΟΝ
website = ΙΣΤΟΣΕΛΙΔΑ (ΙΣΤΟΣΕΛΙΣ ?)
That is the translations in Greek.
