i was curious if someone could throw out the translation for this please.
“free to be”
libri ut simus
which actually means “[we (group of people including males) are] free to be”; it’s impossible to say it in Latin without implying gender and number of free people, as well as whether it’s you who’s free to be or those girls over there who are free to be, etc. Was a generic “we” your intent? If so the above translation should be fine, unless I’ve made some crazy error.
One of those sorts of phrases where you wish esse had a gerund or supine. Amy, I don’t want to rob you of your freedom to be a book, but don’t you mean liberi?
