Hello! I have recently begun my journey into Latin with the Dowling method (with a bit of Ranieri sprinkled in to learn pronunciation). My interest stems from a desire to read old theological works, but during my initial research into Latin I’ve discovered a passion for understanding the historical context of the language. I want to be able to speak it fluently as well.
My first goal is getting through Lingua Latina 1 and 2. I’d like to be able to read and recite book 1 smoothly before moving forward to book 2.
My current skill level is abysmal. I’ve just begun stage 2 of the Dowling method.
