For widgets there’s also Konfabulator, no need to upgrade just for that.

I did upgrade, but that’s because I like to have the latest, but I hardly ever use widgets or spotlight.

Is there anything to recommend it besides the widgets and spotlight? If not I’ll hang out and continue with 10.3.9.

Here is the complete list of new features.

Most obvious would seem widgets, spotlight, Automator, Safari with RSS, but perhaps it is best to check them out yourself, to see if anything appeals to you. Click on "New Features’ for what Apple itself thinks are the most important ones.
