Let me introduce myself.

Hello everyone,

i’ve been reading the forums for some weeks now and have registred.
My name is Ramses, I am from Belgium and have been learning Greek and Latin for 6 years now, but have not reached the proficiency in these languages you showed me at the Agora. I still enjoy your posts though.

Van harte welkom. You are not the only one that has trouble with the discussions in the Agora but there are many other useful places on this site.

Welcome Ramses,

Same here, long years of Greek and Latin in school, but not really able to write in the languages myself. But you will be able to get a lot of help here.

Just out of curiosity: who are you addressing in your signature?

It doesn’t take the same bravery to use this form of address as it did for the original speaker but if it is addressed to me, I will not take kindly to it.

Iliad I. 225
Achilles says this to Agamemnon.
It’s my favorite passage from the whole book, I quote it all the time.
My second favorite Greek quote is “Ἀλλ’ ?ννοειν χ?η τουτο μεν γυναιχ’ ?τι εφυμεν ὡς π?ος ἀνδ?α ο? μαχουμενα”, from the Antigone, just for laughs when my sister is bothering me.
