Hello i’m looking for a translation. I want to say “Searching for heaven” in latin. I know that heaven is caelum but what is searching for ? Or if more appropriate, seeking heaven. And i mean this in me form. " I am seeking heaven" or “i am searching for heaven” . I do believe seeking is quaestio. But not sure. So please help! Searching for heaven, seeking heaven
“Caelum quaero”? (I seek for heaven)
“Caelum quaerens”? (seeking for heaven)
“Ego caelum quaerens”? (I, seeking for heaven)
“In caelum me iubet quaestio”? (The search commands me into heaven)
I’m not much of a Latinist, so don’t trust any of those suggestions until a better Latinist has commented.
The concept you’re looking for may be expressed in the motto of the Royal Air Force - “per ardua ad astra” (past obstacles to the stars).
