Introduction

Salvete omnes!

So here am I, after many years when learning latin seemed to be more natural then it is now (e.g. during my legal studies, especially when I was a doctoral candidate in the field of roman law, but resigned to pursue more „practical” carrer as an attorney-at-law).

It isn’t clear when it exactly occured to me, but after buying a couple of books in latin (alongside with Polish or English translations), I’ve decided that it is a silly thing to neglect learning latin, to voluntarily „cut off” myself from such an immense literature, ranging from philosophy, through sciences, to poetry, etc.

I already knew LLPSI book, which I’ve tried to study some years ago on my own, but without any success (that was one of these short-living enthusiasms), and being aware of my former failure, I’ve decided to look for a latin teacher. Hopefully, I’ve found one (I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s also registered on this forum) and it seems that her passion to ancient latin and greek is contagious (a lifelong gratitude is due to her).

My knowledge of latin is very limited, so (for a while) I am going to mainly read this forum and (rarely, when this shall prove insufficient) ask questions.

I hope this is just the beggining of a longer adventure.
