Help with ποίησις (ἐν μέσοῳ,) for Ἡράκλειτος ὁ Ἐφέσιος

Hello,

I wrote a poem in Latin I am trying to render in Greek:

in medio stat,
omnia est statica,
autem no stabilis

At the center,
all is static,
but not stable

My attempt in greek:

ἐν μέσοῳ,
πάντ᾽ στατικός,
ἔτι οὐ σταθμός

Is it correctable? Appreciate any input, tried to present correct grammar.

All the Best,
David

David, I’m afraid you’re trying to run before you can walk. Both your Latin and your Greek are full of elementary errors and quite incomprehensible.. You need to start from the beginning and work up.
And a poem is a ποιημα not ποιησις.

Such a beautiful language! Poet is ποιητής, seeing how it all fits is exciting. Perseus translates it as ‘maker’. http://www.perseus.tufts.edu/hopper/morph?l=ποιητής&la=greek

Thanks for the input.

palma non sine pulvere

It was the English that made me jump!

One more thought - after reworking (better)

ad centrum
omnibus est stabilis,
sed non est stabilis

at the center (of everything)
everything is stable
but it is not stable.

I wonder if there is a saying in Greek that captures this idea? Anyway, poetry is another topic

All the Best,
David
