! Quantus est deorum erga nos amor.

what is the genetive plural doing in this sentence? I’m confused these quantus est deorum makes no sense

shouldn’t it be quantus sunt dei erga nos amor?

How great are the gods towards our love?

Ave Turendil,

mutemus ordinem verborum:
“Quantus amor deorum est erga nos.”

neque illa verba dicunt:
“Quanti sunt di erga nostrum amorem”.

Spero haec iam plana esse?

aha id nunc video. Gratias.

apologies for forgetting my accusative case endings. :frowning:

nil est. pluris sum oblitus quam memini.

Nonne intelligis non modo amorem nostrum sed etiam familiam tempore augeri?

Do you not percieve the manner of our love but even that the family increase in time?

non modo… sed etiam …

This is a common construction that means something like “not only .. but also…”

In your sentence:

Do you not understands/perceive that not only our love but also our family increases with/in time?

Thanks I eventually figured it out.
