Hello

I found this forum when looking for opinions of the Athenaze. Everyone was getting along very well, not all agreeing, but getting along. I like that.
I’ve been studying Wheelock’s for a couple of months. It’s not sticking so I’m going to try using more than the one book. I’ve just received the Lingua Latina. Just getting over the shock that LL has no English!! Wow. So many pictures and I read the first lesson/story line and see I can understand much of it. That’s another wow.
My grandson is having to learn Latin, very unhappy about it, so I started just to see what he’s going through. What a wonderful discovery. I love it.
Thanks for having me here.

Welcome on board, Tonia!

Welcome here, and I think it’s really fun that you can learn with your grandson. How old is he? If he’s young, he may be encouraged/tempted by the knowledge that many fun kids’ books have been translated into Latin (including Harry Potter!). It’s worth checking out to see if that motivates him a little.
