I’m a long overdue B.A. student here to improve my Greek and Latin, with emphasis on the Greek. Currently my skills are… a bit impressionistic. As a bit of a side-project I hope to work my way through Steadman’s edition of the “Republic”, to get that fluency up and running (or that dyslexia under control, depending on your perspective).
I’d be very interested in any tips on good comparative studies involving the pre-Socratics and philosophical schools from other cultures, particularly the Chinese and Hebrews. Is Jaspers’ “the Axial age” a good starting point?
Finally, I also have an interest in financial markets and interior decoration…
