As I just joined Textkit, I thought I would introduce myself. 
I’m an average middle-aged housewife in the heart of Kansas who happens to be interested in learning Latin.
I’ll let you-all try to guess why, other than the fact that I love history, science, reading, gardening, and well…just learning in general.
I look forward to discussions of all kinds with interesting people, which is how you all strike me.

I only knew Kansas was a twister country.
Are you learning Latin to make a more educational mother? Or just for gardening?(for Trees and herbs have Latin names?)
Although I’m a homemaker, our only children are our 8 (yes, eight) cats, and they are very disinterested in learning of any kind. They prefer to train me… 
Actually, the main reason I decided to study Latin is because I love to cook different and interesting food. Because of this I stumbled onto Ancient Roman cooking.

And yes, we have several good wineries in Kansas. The grain everybody knows about!
