I’m a homeschooling mom that has fallen in love with learning Latin. I’m 39.
We are using several Latin resources, but mainly Rosetta Stone Homeschool Version.
I also have Wheelock’s, Prima Latina, and Latin for Children.
Rosetta Stone has been great in a lot of ways. I’ve actually had a few dreams in Latin so the immersion is definitely there.
However, I’m finding that while I am getitng very comfortable hearing Latin, and thinking in Latin, and starting to read some Latin ok, I’m not so great at writing it AT ALL and I’m not getting vocabulary fast enough to please me.
In any event, I am doing what I can to stay ahead of my 11 year old. He is GOOD with languages - this is his 2nd year in Japanese and Spanish.
Since he learns faster than I do, I am fighting to keep my edge!
I’ve always loved ancient history, and I’m loving Latin.
I hope to learn Greek also.
