For once, I think I understand Latin. Does this roughly mean “But when my kind studies, we have that much less time”?
Perhaps a little sarcasm there. 
The sentence was probably a little cryptic anyway.
-quanto…tanto indicates proportion, usually translated “the more…the more” (quando would be “when”)
-genera from genus, -eris - type, kind - think, sui generis (one of a kind)
-implied sunt / est with mihi (“are to me…is to me,” often used in Latin to imply possession)
“But the more kinds of studies I have, the less time!”
