Hey you all,
does anyone know a good book with Greek synonymes? Or a website with Greek synonyms?
It would be easier for making Greek compositions!
I know books for Latin synonyms, but the ones I know for Greek are all sold out. So does anyone know a book for Greek synonyms that’s actually still available?

just be careful with those, because the sense of many of those words may have changed by NT times and within the NT context… but then I guess it depends on how you are using them anyway.

Heel in 't kort stelde Skylax me een boek voor i.v.m. Griekse synoniemen en ook een winkel in Leuven ‘Peeters’ waar ze dergelijke boeken verkopen. Na hem mijn dank en erkentelijkheid te hebben betoond, wees ik hem erop dat dit boek wellicht reeds uitverkocht is. Zoals hij ook zei, hebben ze het wel in de bibliotheek van de Leuvense universiteit, maar ik zoek iets om bij me thuis te hebben en dus te kopen. Het probleem is dat ik vrees dat er van dat slag van boeken niet veel meer in de handel is. In elk geval bedank ik jullie nog eens voor jullie tips en hints en als iemand nog iets weet, vertel het de wereld dan!

woodhouse’s english-greek dictionary often has a few greek entries per word. it might be another starting-point for finding attic synonyms (wooddhouse concentrates on the main attic authors).
