just some random thoughts on the connection between Greek language and Greek thoughts.

1.adjectives and nouns share the same declensions because in Ancient Greek adjectives are also categorized into nouns.

2.θεός is from θέω, because god is the cause of the moving of heavenly bodies.

Are you trying to reason about language as if Attic Greek was your mother tongue?

According to Aristotle the heavenly bodies are gods, so they are self moved.
