Getting back into Latin (Roma Aeterna)

Basically I haven’t read any Latin since May (I did Juvenal book 1 and the Apocolocyntosis as well as Horace Satires 1 and some miscellaneous) and want to get back into it. I’m thinking of finally going through Roma Aeterna.

Any thoughts/tips for doing this or how to prepare beforehand?

Tolle, lege. Tolle, lege.

Amabo te amice, sed non intellego quod sentis “tolle” fortasse sentis “i”? “i atque lege” ?

Me adiuve

“Tolle, lege” verba sunt quae, in cantu puerile audita, Augustinum Hipponensem ad Christianismum converterunt. Take up and read, take up and read.

To elaborate: the opening chapters of Roma Aeterna being quite gentle for anyone who has read unadapted Latin, it’s best to jump in and have a go. If you’re sure you need more preparation, tolle lege the last few chapters of Familia Romana.
