Hello all,
Can someone help me understand the dativ in the sentence: δευτέρῳ δὲ λόγῳ τῷ διὰ τῆς ἀνατομῆς φαινομένῳ? In spanish they translate by: “hay una segunda razon, que se ve en las dissecciones”. But I don’t understand why Galen used the dativ here.

It’s dative because it’s just a continuation of this:

Ἔστι δὴ τὸ θῆλυ τοῦ ἄρρενος ἀτελέστερον ἑνὶ μὲν καὶ πρώτῳ λόγῳ, διότι…
