Funny things I've read on textkit

Things have been a little quiet the past couple of days here. I thought I’d share a few memorable moments from past textkit posts:

Lucus Eques: “By the way, how are exclamations and quotations written in Greek/SPIonic?”

annis: > “They are not. Greek always comports itself with restraint and decorum.”

Carola: “Having relatives who don’t know what to buy you for birthdays etc is another good way of aquiring books!”

Bardo de Saldo: > “When I asked my father-in-law—a staunch Democrat—for a book by Pharr/Wright two Christmas ago he thought that I was pulling his leg!”

Mofmog: “I ordered Plato’s Apology off of the Walmart website … but USPS goofed up and sent my package to the wrong city! . I’m leaving tommorow for a long trip and now I’ll be without Plato.”

William: > “Bummer. It sounds like they owe you TWO apologies.”

Anyone else got some – and hey, what ever happened to that joke thread?

I’d have to say, that last one about Plato and two apologies made me laugh pretty hard!! LOL.

Ditto. The last joke was hilarious!

I remember these posts, yet somehow they seem funnier now then when I first read them.

(And never fear, I should emerge from the depths of inactivity next week. Finals were over yesterday, and today I get to move, wheee! To be fair, as far as moves go, I’ve got it pretty easy, I just really don’t want to overlook something since I’m doing the move all by myself.)
