Frequency List for Syntax

Dear group,

We all know about the frequncy lists for vocabulary, i.e. lemmas listed in order of frequency from high to low (et shows up in the top 3 almost every time!). I have also compiled morphological frequncy lists (that’s how i found out that the accusative is more common in text occurence than the nominative!). Now that there are treebanks generated for so much of Latin, there should also be a statistical freuency list of syntax structures, i.e. objective infinitive, ablative absolute, dative of purpose, final clauses. Has anyone ever come across such a list? I think that would be valuable to have for teaching purposes for sure!

PS: just having a LIST (without frequencies) of all syntactical structures would be a great starting point if anyone has such a thing..

I haven’t seen such a list, but this is an excellent idea.

Please post back here if you every come across one.

This seems like it would be a good thesis topic for some aspiring digital classicist.
