I agree with most of the general ideas behind the way you see politics. Chomsky had the effect of allowing me to predict what the newspeople would say before they said it, and then I ended up just shutting it all out. I do think at times, however, you oversimplify what you say: but, perhaps, that’s necessary to get the point across, as you are, it seems, the only one here to give that particular angle/viewpoint about this planet we share (which we’ve raped quite enough; a few more generations and the planet will in all probability get rid of us.) Look Here for an article I can’t help agreeing with (but alas, I’m a pessimist and hopefully I’m wrong).
The quote makes me think of one by Erasmus about having money and buying books before food. I’m ashamed to say how I found out about it..
You guys are remarkle. Look at all the quotes you know just like that! I can’t remember jokes or quotes for some reason (unless it has something to do with my severe add). I did run over a quote today that was included in a letter that someone wrote me. I don’t know who wrote though. Anyone? I do remember it but haven’t a clue from where.
“Balnea vina Venus corrumpunt corpora nostra,/ sed vitam faciunt
balnea vina Venus”
I did a search for it on Google. Apparently it is the asyndetic epitaph of a Mr. Tiberius Claudius Secundus.

I remember my favorites, but I also keep a word document on my computer containing quotes that I think are clever, and another containing stupid things I have heard people say on the internet (most of which I can’t post here).
