Dutch (I think!) Translation

I was wondering if any of you who understand Dutch could translate the following for me:

I’m guessing the first part says “You’re in the operating room (or anywhere for that matter) when the attending asks a brilliant question that you’re sure you should know the answer to, but don’t. What can you do?” (The introduction to a website I have) but I’m curious to know what the rest of it says.

Thanks for any help,
Ed

For one, ‘brilliant’ is not mentioned anywhere , it is a question that embarasses you, because you just don’t know the answer. The replies that an American collegue would come up with are:

  • Could you repeat the question?
  • make yourself not sterile so you have to leave
  • When I had operating class, that part of the body (organ?) didn’t exist yet

The site seems to be quoting yours

Wow, that was fast. Thank you!

I was hoping perhaps they had come up with some new ones. I get a ton of visitors from that site, so I guess a lot of Dutch speakers also read English fairly well.
