Didot's Greek Classics (with Latin translation)

Hello,

in the 19th century Ambroise Didot edited a series of books containing Greek classics with a facing Latin translation. I am trying to hunt these down. I created a list of those I have found and put it on my web-site (Download-section, sub-section Various or direct link to the html-file).

Can anyone here point me to any of the missing books?

Valete,

Carolus Raeticus

Hello Carolus Raeticus,

Vivarium Novum has this on its website. I don’t know how comprehensive it is though.
It seems that they provide links to volumes that are missing in your list (Arrianus, Euripides, the Septuagint,…) but that some authors/volumes you referenced are not mentioned.

Edit. I see that you used Letronne’s article from 1839. Since only a few volumes had been published at the time, Letronne is in most cases speaking of volumes yet to be published. It wouldn’t be surprising if some of them never materialized (for instance, I looked in vain for the Alexiad ).

Hello Shenoute,

that helps a lot.

Carolus Raeticus

Thanks again,

after having a closer look at the list at Vivarium Novum I removed my own list. It is so much better. A pity, that it is not better known.

Vale,

Carolus Raeticus
