Cur genetivus?

In Orberg LLPSI Cap XXXVI Penso hoc scribitur.

Titus, filius Vespasiani principis post expugnationem Hierosolymorum, urbis Iudaeorum nobilissimae, triumphavit.

Titus, the son of Vespasian (prince..) after the defeat of Hierosolymus(?) triumphed…then we have genetive urbis, Iudaeorum, nobillissimae…??? all genetive…(or at least Orberg’s ‘hints’ say they are…?

Ita, genetivo casu omnia haec.
Yes, all genitive: Hierosolymorum, urbis Iudaeorum nobilissimae

post expugnationem Hierosolymorum, urbis Judaeorum nobilissimae

after the fall of Jerusalem, [of] the most renowned city of the Jews

Adriane,

Is that a partitive genitive then or is it a more distinct use of the case?

Gratias tibi ago,
Zach

Thanks Adrianus.
