Hey friends,
I was just wondering if any of you were familiar with Croy’s “A Primer of Biblical Greek”, and specifically if you had any opinion on where it falls in terms of scope and expansiveness? I mostly just want to know what the normal recommended starter textbooks are and how Croy compares as this is the book being heavily leaned upon in a course I am taking.
I am currently studying Koine Greek in a university course mostly meant for pre-seminary students whereas I am interested in the language as an amateur/enthusiast historian and linguist. While I am fairly familiar with the various pedagogical options for studying Latin, I know very little about the Greek analogy. Any help is appreciated.
While I’m here, I want a reference work that lists all the principle parts and an English translation of Koine Greek verbs. Do I just need to shell out and buy a big lexicon or do I have other options? Any recommendations?
Thanks!
