This is from Seneca, De brevitate vitae:
“(…)quod haec tam uelociter, tam rapide dati nobis temporis spatia decurrunt”
In the translation it says: “because even this space that has been granted to us rushes by so speedily and so swiftly”
Dati is supposed to agree with spatia, but why isn’t “data” instead? since spatia is neuter and plural nominative?
dati modifies temporis, “the spaces of time given to us…”
