Another introduction, sorry guys

Hi, I’m new…(what do you say in these threads?)
Anyway, I’m a high school freshman independent-studying with Jenney’s (1979) and soon-Wheelock and Harrius Potter, when they come in a few days  These forums seem great (people of all skill levels represented), and full of really smart mature people, so if I’m annoying, please notify me as I never can tell…

Welcome aboard Amy! Textkit is great thanks to the people who populate it. Don’t worry, its very hard to be annoying here, most times people race to answer the questions!

Salve Amy! Welcome. I wish I had studied Latin/Greek in High school - kudos to you and the best of luck.

Greetings
Lets hear it for schools with independant studies. My study last for one semester at ninety minutes a day. How long does yours last?

Welcome Amy! It’s nice to see a young female learning Latin. (They’re all Greeks nowadays pronouncing their eta “eee” - disgraces!)

Harrius Potter is extremely well written. The author after 30 years teaching has acquired an instinct for classical expression. I assume you are just beginning, so do not feel disheartened if you do not understand much of it. Just focus on covering all the grammar and it should be well.

Good luck to another independent learner!

I do find that teachers are losers, at least, all those who do not right books whence one learns so admirably.

:open_mouth: What a character! Is he really a Latin teacher? Nice Undertaker vultus there

Well, even though I joined the almost the same day, I welcome you anyway. We have a lot in common. Class is going slow, dumb teachers and highschool! I am not planing on taking my third year of Latin, but I will still use it and make sure I don’t forget it. My latin Teacher is actually not that bad,but he could be better. We just got done with Verbals and Sequence of tenses(pain in the rear)

but hey! maybe me and you can help eachother :open_mouth:

see ya around :sunglasses:

i hope nobody googles themselves anymore :unamused:

Jurassic Feck…like R Kelly I wish

and a remix

Welcome to Textkit Amy!
I’m quite sure you won’t annoy anyone with your questions…
Mr Fiveash does sound like a cool teacher, wish my Latin teacher was a bit less undead  .

Hi Amy! Welcome to Textkit. Dr. Fiveash sounds lke a hoot! I wouldn’t mind having a fun teacher like that…

A little jealous are we?

Thanks Emma and mariek!
