Hey guys, good night. I just would to know why in this bolded excerpt we use the indicative and not the subjunctive :
"Mecum erit iste labor; nunc qua ratione,quod instat
confieri possit, paucis ( adverte) docebo. "
““Leave that to me!
But in what wise our urgent task and grave
may soon be sped, I will in brief unfold
to thine attending ear”
I think the indicative here is used because there is not so much a sense of futurity or potentiality, rather a sense of urgency. A nice literal translation for “quod instat” would be “(that) which is pressing (or urgent)” which in your translation becomes “urgent task”.
