Anyone know of any books that teach Italian? I’m looking for a comprehensive book, not something like Italian for Dummies.

it’s not a book, but i think Michel Thomas’ 8-cd audio course is good. i’m speaking from experience: 2 weeks ago i had done less than 3 hours total, and was able to (forced to) book hotel rooms for myself and my friends for various dates in italian…
