ἀναγκαῖον φαίνεται ἔμοιγε, εἴπερ γε ἡμῶν ὁ βίος ἔσται καὶ ὁπωσοῦν ποτε βίος.  
How to understand this future? gnomic? present intention? it seems necessary to me, at any rate, if our life is meant to be the way life is.
