I don’t understand why εμός etc. are conventionally taken to be possessive pronouns. Isn't this a category error? For me, there are possessive adjectives, εμός etc., and there are personal pronouns, εγώ etc.—two distinct categories.
Can anyone resolve this for me?

in russian they are also categorized as possessive pr whereas in french as possessive adjective so i think it depends on the intellectual maturity of the nation who uses the language
