Academic and Civic Titles

Post by AShan »

Hi all, uni student here

I have been asked recently to talk a little to uni alumns in Latin
I am struggling to find the vocabulary however for the various jobs descriptions and titles involved.

If anyone has a list handy of translations for fellow, professor, undergraduate, postgraduate etc. I would love to know.

In a simialr vein the same goes for the various titles within the orders here in the UK (merit, royal victorian etc.):
I am wary to translate the C of CBE as praefectus when that might be construde for Officer. Any help here too as to where to look would be lovely. :)
