Greetings all. I've kind of stumbled backwards into learning both modern and ancient Greek at the same time (a good decision? Maybe not... but I have to follow my heart). After visiting Crete last summer, I've been working on modern Greek with Duolingo, a bunch of easy readers, and also reading Sophie's World in Greek in parallel with a Kindle translation... But I've also started working through Athenaze (ITalian version) and JACT Reader... A lot of fun. And taking a Homer course through the Catherine Project (in English ).... Found this forum when searching for ways to get started reading Homer in the original.
Have been online since the very beginning, but lately it's been a lot of Twitter - feels kind of refreshing with a good old forum!
