ne differ

sumptus facere ne differ. How would one translate this? This is supposed to be the Latin translation of a verse from the so-called seven Sages' oracles which says something like δαπανῶν ἔρχου. The Latin translation says something different though.

“Don’t put off making expenditures” “Don’t defer expenses,” rendering Δαπανῶν ἄρχου (not ἔρχου) "Begin spending" "Make a start on spending," usually taken as meaning “Govern expenses." #72 in Stobaeus’ collection of "Delphic" maxims.
