Google translate audio

Post by Jimmy9820 » Mon Jan 07, 2019 2:21 am

I'm a beginner who has yet to start studying Latin.

What is the opinion of this forum on Google translate's pronunciation of Latin? I'm not asking about its translation of Latin (which I know is inaccurate) but its pronunciation.

I won't be relying on google as my main source of audio (having subscribed to the Latinum Institute's patreon account) but I'm thinking of using the google audio for my ANKI vocabulary decks.

Thank you for your time.

It's just the Italian voice, and Google is stupid for using it. It doesn't even work properly for the ecclesiastical pronunciation.

Google Translate does not know Latin in any form audio or print. The print translations are so bad as to be laughable.
