Ante diem octavum kalendas Apriles...

Hi, I just want to confirm something. The use of Apriles in the above post is as an adjective, right? I understand that when one writes 'Ante diem octavum kalendas Iulias' 'Iulias' is feminine, accusative plural. Where as Iulius - July - is masculine noun of the 2nd declension. So as Aprilis is a 3rd declension masculine noun so 'Apriles' here is, in fact, a third declension feminine adjective in the accusative plural to agree with kalendas - do I have that right?
