hi all
Is this a correct translation of 'our merchants boy has two'?
puer mercatoris nostri sunt duo. (adler ex 22)

adler gives' puero...
is their a rule for the dat of possesion ? It comes up frequently in adler.Thanks.

Yes, you want to go with puero here. What you have written translates as "the boy of our merchant are two." Use the dative of possession in sentences with forms of esse. Put the possessor in the dative.
