Just wondering: is it permissable to pronounce the iota subscript?
Also, not being the most computer literature person in the world, I still need help with this font problem. I've been pointed in the right direction, I think, have been unable to find the right options to make the problem go away.

If you're aiming at a pronunciation suitable to 5th century Attic, then you should pronounce the iota.

I have never pronounced it when reading...but would that be because I'm a Koine guy? Did they pronounce it in the A.D.?

Ah. Then I shall take care, if the TextCon ever happens, to make sure you're not around when I recite Greek.Kopio wrote:Well I've never heard you pronounce it, and I carry a large stick with me for just such occaisions
They didn't, but many of the more traditional textbooks of ancient Greek — Attic or Koine — say not to pronounce the iota.I have never pronounced it when reading...but would that be because I'm a Koine guy? Did they pronounce it in the A.D.?
