Marisa is born!
Sorry I haven't been around as often lately, I've been very busy with my little girl who was born on St Patty's day. She was 7 lbs 1 oz, and 19 inches. She is such a cutie, and she keeps me busy with those round-the-clock feeding every 2-3 hrs. I love all the cute sounds and motions she makes, and am excited and sad when they evolve. It's amazing how much she has changed in just the last few weeks. I haven't had much time lately to play on the computer, but I did manage to post some pictures here: http://photos.yahoo.com/mariekahnsf. I've got a bunch of pics I want to upload, but it'll probably have to wait until the next Ice Age at the rate I'm doing things these days.

Congratulations!
Are you singing to her in Latin?

When I first tried to see the pictures I got "No such page blah ..." or stuff like that. Now I can see the pictures. It's a wonder you see a fragile little infant grow up into a dynamic little child.
Marisa's beautifu!l She is a girl, right? For there was a little confusion about the gender of some members of textkit that names and avatars gave rise to, while you were away.

Unfortunately no, I'm not much of a singer and am afraid the windows in the house will shatter if I attempt it. Thanks for fixing the link above. I'm still trying to master typing with one hand (while holding baby in the other). I gave up on the dvorak keyboard mapping and went back to qwerty.annis wrote: Are you singing to her in Latin?

Yes, she's a girl. I must have missed the gender name confusion here on Textkit. Sometimes it can be difficult to tell when it's one of those unisex names like Jordan, Kelly, Sandy, etc.mingshey wrote:She is a girl, right? I went to visit my doctor a few days ago where I bumped into a couple who is 7 months pregnant. They looked at my little girl and the man asked me whether it was a boy or girl. The woman pointed out that she was wearing pink and said she was a girl.

you're right, i should just stick to lowercase, it's so much easier. Marisa keeps us pretty busy right now. How can such a little thing tire out two adults?! I am so pooped! Have thought about having a second child, but don't know when I'll have the energy...ingrid70 wrote:Believe me, you will get used to it. Forget about capitals though

The way you wrote that makes it sound like that that is where you found out she was a girl.mariek wrote:

And congratulations once more for your beautiful daughter!
I can guarantee you, as father of a never stopping daughter of 2 years, that things will get a little more resting with time. My problem is if I don’t start on thinking on the second son soon, after being used to some nights of full sleep, will I have the courage to have the secondMariek wrote:Have thought about having a second child, but don't know when I'll have the energy...
Well there things will never get better, I and my wife only appear on photographs if, by chance, we are beside her or with our daughter in our arms and I mean photographs taken by any member of the familyMariek wrote:I have the feeling there'll be more pictures of Marisa than of me there...
Best wishes for you and your daughter.
