Latin audio
If you know of any websites that host spoken Latin audio clips, other than those I have listed, please include them so I can try to compile a complete list. I used to know several more but many of the sites have shut down. I do not claim that they are all great :] I am also not restricting this to Classical reconstructed pronunciation.

There's the Nuntii Latini from Finland:

I believe there's a different clip everyday.

I've seen that site before, but how do you get to the audio clips? ... and why do I have the feeling I am about to look like a fool...Magistra wrote:There's the Nuntii Latini from Finland:

Seeing that you arent restricting this to classical reconstructed pronunciation, I sort of have some latin audio...
An awesome band, My Dying Bride have one line of latin in a song of theirs..
My Dying Bride (The Dreadful Hours cd) - The return to the Beautiful.
mmmm... doom metal....
I'll give you the line:
Et gelidus hoc voluntas firmamentum.
What does it mean? I'm only up to first chap in wheelock..
It's the last song ont he cd, i think its the final battle between god and the devil.. ohh.. doomy... devil speaks the line in latin, none of this pu.ssy latin hymn stuff some of you guys posted
download it from a p2p application or something, they are total lords, and the song is so very very good. actually, buy the cd!
DO IT

edit: clarification

"Et gelidus hoc voluntas firmamentum" and "Ego deicere tu pereant" are utter nonsense. The second shows a curious knowledge of the subjunctive, yet no understanding whatsoever of even basic grammar. This is why we have other cases besides the nominative! But if this interview is real, it looks like they are just being silly.

haha... before i edited i said that i wouldn't be surprised if there was a total lack of grammar.. infact, i think he pronounces the v as an english v in the song too, but its in growling vocals so it masks it pretty wellbenissimus wrote: Oh my...
