I got everything I asked for!

well, I only asked for three things:

1) a feather duvet. it is SO warm and comfy, and I now never want to get out of bed.

2) a nice suitcase.

3) italian books, etc. well I just got an italian cookbook but it's the next best thing. ;)

A new jean, which rather my wife wanted me to wear than I wanted.
But I'm happy to get a present anyway. :D

How was everyone's CHristmas?

I got an MP3 player, Francis Cabrel's Les Beaux Dégâts, and some 16 oz wide neck Nalgene bottles (which I had been looking for everywhere but hadn't found).

Got Lord of the Rings 3 Extended DVD... I think this has 50 minutes more than the theatrical version, and boy is it LONG, especially after watching the 2nd movie on the same day. :)

we watched that one on christmas day! it is quite long but very well done, and it was the only one in which I found that the extended scenes really added a lot to the movie.

I got Sakae Kubo's Reader's lexicon of the New Testament - I've wanted it for a while.

I also got the entire first season of Star Trek on DVD

(With a nod to DAS INVERSE THEORY:)

I got 1/ vomited on or otherwise besmeared by small children. A wonderful change from the usual holiday routine.

I got a gift certificate with which I bought a collection of Hovhanness compositions (CD). I'm verry happy I found a recording of his.. he's fairly (or
literally, unfairly) obscure.

A little light reading there, yadfothgildloc!! I was delighted to get (after a lot of heavy hinting) the JACT World of Athens. Very good reading.

I was, perhaps, slightly less delighted to get the usual assortment of socks, ties and underwear - but no doubt they will all be used.

1. Return of the King (extended version)
2. Key chain, with spare key for my car.
3. Couple of nice shirts.
4. Gun money (I'm saving for a new 9mm ultra compact :D )

This is the first year that I haven't gotten books in about 8 years...I think I finally have most of the books I'd like to own.

My birthday is at the end of January...so between Christmas and B-day....I should be able to get my gun!
