Hello everyone,
Thank you for accepting me into the forum. I have not studied Latin in many years, but I would like to start studying again. The resources available have certainly changed!
Duolingo does not look useful for learning grammar, but is it of any use for pronunciation and review?
Greetings

I had a crack at the Duolingo Latin course and was quite underwhelmed by it. Having said that I guess everyone has different experiences with it and any other learning resource.
There are a huge number of excellent texts you can use for Grammar and quite a few good people on You Tube who can help with pronunciation, like Carla Hurt, Satura Lanx amongst others.
Do you have any thoughts on what text you would like to begin with?
Cheers.

Re: Greetings
Thank you for the welcome Bedwere and Villanelle!
I repurchased a new copy of Henle 1 and some older edition used Wheelock books that I still have the pdf answer keys. I think that I will use Henle as my primary text for now and later transition to Wheelock as my primary text.
I have access to Transparent Language, Mango, and Rosetta Stone through my library as well as Duolingo. Also The Great Courses Latin 101 videos.
Mango is focused on Caesar so looks like it might be useful after completing some of Henle that is also Caesar focused.
I have some pdf copies of public domain texts and some newer texts that I will use mostly as readers.
A few days into Duolingo, it looks useless as a core curriculum, but I am not yet convinced that is is useless as a supplement. The same for Rosetta Stone which seems to be the most similar to Dinolingo in vocabulary and sequence of topics. I think the opportunity to listen is the most useful part of the softwares. And maybe some vocabulary review.
Villanelle, I will follow up on those youtube leads. Thank you!
