error in Perseus
when there is a bug in the Perseus library is it forever or are they gonna fix it? I have been reading Cyropaedia, and the second chapter of the second book is now unavailable online. Hos to ask them to fix it?

Re: error in Perseus
I've found that most Perseus bugs are forever or equivalent. However, 2.2 seems up to me.
But may I suggest: Xen. Cyrop. 2.2
But may I suggest: Xen. Cyrop. 2.2

Re: error in Perseus
It didn't show up for me at first either, but then I clicked on various links and it started showing up.
I think it started working after clicking on the left:

That link does not work for me. I have to correct it to the following: Xen. Cyrop. 2.2.1paveln wrote: ↑Tue Dec 20, 2022 8:57 pm This is OK:

Re: error in Perseus
You got me curious. The bug is a server-side 500 error, which is hard to diagnose from our side.
But not impossible.
To trigger the bug:
1. Go to Xen. Cyrop. 2.1.1 in an incognito window on your browser
2. Click the chapter 2 link at either the top or the side. Note "An Error Occurred Page"
To avoid the bug:
1. Go to Xen. Cyrop. 2.1.1 in an incognito window on your browser
2. Click "View text chunked by:" -> chapter
3. Click the chapter 2 link at either the top or the side. No error.
What's happening? I suspect that there is a cookie lookup (why though? a tracker?) on Xen. Cyrop. 2.2.1. If you go to the page without cookies set in your browser (ie., an incognito window, or using something like Tor), you'll hit the error page.
Workarounds:
* Click something to generate a cookie. Ie., "View text chunked by:" -> chapter
* Use "search" link format, as in my good link above: Xen. Cyrop. 2.2.1
* Read a PDF of the OCT version, and leave Perseus behind forever.
